These trees are much photographed.  They are easy to get to, on the Parkway where Green Hill Road intersects.  I call them 'Brother Trees' because another sest of trees I shoot I call 'Sister Trees.'  This Fall, at this time one had shed its leaves but the other had not.  I hadn't noticed that on site while shooting them, in my ...
The Fall painted trees are a mirror image in Trout Lake.  Do you see the tiny hidden jewel in this photo?  Hidden among the rushes:  the full moon about to set.
The striking pattern of this blossom caught my eye.  I do not know what it is.  Someone enlighten me!  And tell me what small creature pollinates the fragility.
Another surprise this area brings us:  the Todd Liberty parade, perhaps the most unique July 4th celebration in our nation.   Come take part!  Everyone is welcome, either in your own favorite fantastical costume, or borrow one from Todd's Elkland Art Center.  Fun I promise you!  ....By the way, I have a few calendars s...
Taken when it was far enough into Spring for a bed of bright yellow blossoms yet on this chilly morning Grandfather's crown is covered with frost.  Always, always, a surprise awaits us in the mountains, if we stop to pause to see it, and take it in.
Look inside a rosebay rhododendron blossom to find an intriguing, intricate world.  You'll likely see more of these close-ups of rhododendron blooms from me.  An unforeseen passion to photograph them has captured me.  The image in my mind's eye proves elusive.

Selling a home is like taking an airline flight across the country. When you start on your trip, you have no idea how the trip will go. Neither does the pilot. You could run into 88 different types of turbulence, or other passengers on the trip could pull stunts on you. Ideally, you should have a smooth flight and land on time. Certainly the pilot ...
The proposition that photographers shoot only perfect blossoms has its merits.  I rather like blossoms that show life experience, a small 'flaw.' A mirror to what we humans experience.  We all get a little beat up in life at some point, don't we?

Early morning is one of my favorite times to go for a hike and 'catch light.' Moses Cone's Carriage Barn at sunrise is a great spot to try to imagine what it was like for him to experience the Park he left us. Always on my mind is how to illuminate his vision to others through photos.
