The Main News:  The market remains active.  Showings of homes and land were lower in March and April in observance of the restrictions ordered by Governor Cooper.  Consequently, less homes and land went under contract in March and April.  The restrictions lifted in May to allow nonessential travel.  As of early June, buyers appear to have confidence in the economy and have been busy placing both homes and land under contract.

To help you see for yourself that the market has remained active, I’m posting weekly updates on my home page, showing the number of homes and land active, going under contract, and sold.

The number of active cases locally has risen quite a bit since the restrictions were lifted.  The prediction is the numbers will increase.  Therefore, I’ll continue to post weekly for the foreseeable future.
