What's Happening in the Market:  The Watauga Home Market January 2024

In January 2024 the number of home sales, homes under contract, and new home listings on the market are down.  It appears less buyers are ‘out there’ looking and finding less choices to consider.  The graphs below will show you that the current Odds of Selling a home are 60%. 181 homes closed in the last 90 days. 188 are projected to close in the next 90 days. Despite the vagaries and mysteries of 2023, average sales values are up significantly from a year ago.  2023 was anything but a ‘typical’ year so it will be interesting to see if the next couple winter months bring us to a more typical Spring market.
